RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
- 7:30 a.m. Registration and Packet Pick-up Opens @ The Love Sign
- 9:00 a.m. Race begins for registered participants – Staggered Start (10K, 5K then 1 mile)
- 9:30 a.m. Live Music Begins & Bar Opens
- 11:00 a.m. Free Kids Dash Race (no prior registration required)
- 11:10 a.m. Wheelchair race (no prior registration required)
- 11:30 a.m. Award Ceremony
- 1:00 p.m Post Race Party ends
Family-friendly run/walk! Timed events: 5K, 10K or 1 mile options that will take you through historic downtown Cape Charles overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
Note: start time will be STAGGERED for the 5K, 10K and new this year – 1 mile. All events require registration and include a t-shirt, timed event, post run after party with live music, kids activities, 1 free drink ticket (non alcoholic or alcoholic for 21 and older), snacks and a finisher medal (2nd in a series of 4).
Runners and walkers can opt to participate in the color portion – and be sprayed with bright, fun, harmless, and environmentally safe colors. This color zone will be avaialble for all events: 10k, 5k and 1 mile.
Free Kids’ Dash will be organized on Bay Ave. at the conclusion of other events so round up those kiddos and bring them along!

10K – $65 / 5K – $50 / 1 Mile – $20

SHIRTS:
T-shirts and medals are included for all registered one mile, 5k, and 10k participants! Extra t-shirts will be ordered but fulfilling specific sizes cannot be guaranteed on race day.
PACKET PICK-UP
Pick up your LOVERun packet between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. in Cape Charles’ Central Park on Friday, April 19th or beginning at 7:30 a.m on April 20th at the LOVE sign (corner of Mason Ave and Bay Ave.)

PARKING
Participants can park on Mason Avenue, Bay Avenue, or any one of our residential streets. No parking pass is required!
VOLUNTEER
We are looking for volunteers and cheerleaders to help guide participants on the course and manage the water and color stations. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us at ccmainstreetaa@gmail.com and we’ll pass your info to our volunteer coordinator Susan Burger.
SPONSOR
Sponsors and donations to make this event a success for more than 300 race participants are always needed! Color stations, water areas, start/finish lines and the post-race party will provide ample exposure for donors to create a large presence at this Eastern Shore Spring kick-off event.
