DESCRIPTION:The Mayor will read a proclamation adopting Coast Guard Appreciation Day. This ceremony will be at noon. Prior to that \, Coast Guard Cutter and Patrol Boat will be docked at the Ferry Dock and open for public tours. Additionally\, contingent on operational commitments\, a Coast Guard helicopter and rescue swimmer will demonstrate in-water rescue operations in the harbor .

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate July 4th in Cape Charles! Attend the 10:ooam parade followed immediately by a street fair and 4×4 youth basketball tournament\, and fireworks on the beach! \nThe parade will begin on Bay Avenue and end on Mason Avenue. If you’re interested in participating in the parade\, please contact the Town of Cape Charles to apply no later than June 27\, 2025. \nBay Avenue’s street fair will include craft vendors\, food\, live music\, cornhole\, face painting\, and more! So much to see and do after the parade! \nThe 4 on 4 teen basketball tournament will take place on Washington Avenue beginning at 11:30am. The tournament requires registration for 5-player teams – contact admin.events@capecharles.org. \nCan’t wait to celebrate with you!
