The Eastern Shore of Virginia Habitat for Humanity would like to invite you to participate in the 29th Annual February Freeze. The dip in the bay will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Cape Charles Beach. The proceeds from the February Freeze are used to help provide vital housing for those in need on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We are grateful that fundraising efforts have allowed us to build on average two houses a year. Eastern Shore Habitat hosts three major fundraisers a year and this event is integral for us to continue our mission. The need for housing is in great demand on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Annually, we receive numerous applicants asking to be selected for houses, and only two applicants are chosen by the selection committee for Habitat houses each year.

There are a few ways for you to be involved in the Annual February Freeze. First, you can participate as an individual or as a team in raising pledges to take the plunge with fellow dippers. Alternatively, you can support our Celebrity Dipper if you choose not to brave the cold water but would like to contribute as a sponsor.

Prizes will be awarded to individuals (18 and younger) and teams that raise the most sponsorship dollars.
