Cape Charles is proud to be an affiliate member of Virginia Main Street, a program of the nonprofit National Main Street Center, Inc., a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Main Street America’s mission is to build stronger communities through preservation-based economic development.
Like other communities under the Main Street America umbrella, Cape Charles follows a time-tested framework for community-driven, comprehensive revitalization based on Four Points: Economic Vitality, Design, Organization, and Promotion.
As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to assisting the local community in promoting economic development, revitalization and historic preservation of our downtown commercial area.
