Piece of Eden is an original historical musical drama spanning the period from
1618 -1776 and chronicles the history of the Eastern Shore through the legacy of Thom Savage. It was produced both in 2007 and 2012 by Arts Enter at the Historic Palace Theatre. In honor of America 250, a reprise of Piece of Eden will be presented April 24-26 and May 1-3.
The original play was written by Jean Collins, adapted for the stage by Sheila Mullins Cardano and enhanced with original music by Gwen Skeens. The 2026 production will be directed by Clelia C. Sheppard with music direction by Megan Cartwright.
